Traveling by RV can make a coastal trip easier when a pet is part of the family. Aransas Pass provides a convenient base for exploring the Coastal Bend, but a successful trip starts with checking the current rules for your campground and every destination you plan to visit.
Pet rules vary by location and can change. Check the managing agency’s current rules immediately before visiting rather than assuming every beach or park follows the same policy.
At Padre Island National Seashore, leashed pets are permitted on many beaches, campgrounds, trails, and boardwalks. The National Park Service requires a leash no longer than six feet, prohibits pets in park buildings, and asks visitors to collect pet waste. Some sensitive or crowded areas have additional restrictions.
For a Texas state park outing, review the Texas Parks & Wildlife pet rules for the specific park. General state-park rules require pets to remain leashed, crated, or in a vehicle; prohibit leaving them unattended; and require owners to remove waste. Certain parks and designated areas have added restrictions.
Before reserving, call Aransas Pass RV Park & Storage at (361) 266-5985 to confirm the current pet policy and ask which RV site best fits your stay. When you are ready, check availability and book online.
